Mt. Asama erupts
Mt. Asama, a volcano about 140 kilometers northwest of Tokyo, which straddles Gunma and Nagano prefectures, appears to have had a small eruption on June 16, 2015.
Fortunately, this does not effect the Karuizawa area, and there are no signs of any more volcanic activity.
Should the status change, we will provide a further update.
